The development team at erpDevelopers.net has over twenty years experience with ProvideX and PxPlus. Our primary expertise is developing applications and customizations for the Sage 100 ERP (formerly MAS 90 and MAS 200 [more]) reseller community. As Sage Development Partners, we install and support Sage 100 ERP but, as we work with Sage Resellers, we do not sell Sage products directly.
Our unbelievable years of experience is what gives us a leg up from our competition. Between myself and my partner, Rob Nordin, we have over 50 years of experience with this software. I like to relate it to a 2 year old learning from experience not to put their finger on the stove. Due to our experience, we can avoid ‘the domino effect’ of pitfalls and problems.
That’s like saying “how do I breathe?!” We use Daylite interactively day in and day out. I can’t do anything without referring to Daylite. It’s like having a personal secretary. My biggest unexpected gain was the ability to link objects back and forth, left, right and centre. It allows me to intuitively link documents where they belong and link to multiple spots, so I can link a document to a company, virtually copy it to a customer, as well as link it to a project or an opportunity.
The Global Search is probably the biggest time saver for me. I no longer have to print out copies, which makes looking for documents a pleasure, it’s just THERE. It’s like having a room full of papers and saying “document ‘ABC’, jump up!” The virtual calendar is another favourite. I literally live in my calendar. It used to be a bloody mess, and now with Daylite it’s a colour coded organized mess. Because it’s so visual, it makes it easy to do what I call ‘fire & forget’ and move around unimportant things over to focus on the main things.
I love that I can sync with my iPhone and iPad, it’s a big time saver. I can make changes, or add data entries left right and centre and it’s all at my fingertips. It’s not cluttered with features that you don’t use. Daylite gives you what 90% of CRM users need, and filters out what people don’t need. We used to use GoldMine and I never thought that there were other systems that could run circles around it. With Daylite, I never have to worry that it’s not working, I trust it like I trust the air I breathe.
We are in the midst of creating a new low cost ERP solution that we are going to deliver. The next step will be to release that nationally and then provide updates and support.
We need software that we can work with that can dynamically grow as our company scales up. We’ve been watching that with Daylite as our business grows.
I was once debating with a man about the answer to “what is the most important part of any company?’ I, like many people thought that the customer would be the most valuable part of a company. The man I was debating disagreed and slammed his hand down on the table saying, “Bull ****! The value of your company is what walks out at 5pm and what you pray comes back at 8:30am the next day!” What he meant was that your employees are the most valuable part of your company, and if you have happy employees, you will have happy customers. When you’re in the service business, your employees are your most valuable assets!
