I work as a music editor, producer/engineer, songwriter and musician. Recent film & television credits include CSI: Miami, How To Make It In America, Entourage and The Karate Kid (2010).
What made you realize you wanted to improve your invoicing process?
The biggest improvement I needed to make was in tracking invoices that had already been sent and centralizing all that info for tax season. Billings does this very well.
Was there an aspect of your previous invoicing process that you found daunting?
Almost the entire process! I had a decent system before, but it took a few too many steps to print invoices, especially as PDFs. Also, going through the PDFs to compile all the info at the end of the year was too tedious.
What feature(s) in Billings drew you in initially?
The tracking, reporting, and ease of designing multiple templates were what caught my eye when I first saw Billings. Since I've been using it, I've also really come to appreciate the way the application organizes information as well.
How did Billings and/or Billings Touch improve your workflow and increase productivity?
I've paired up with Billings Touch for the iPhone, so I can now send invoices from anywhere. Not to mention all the time I'll save at the end of the year.
Describe how Billings helped you to earn more revenue with your business.
I no longer have to waste so much time on invoicing. That alone allows me to make better use of my day and saves me money. Billings will pay for itself very quickly!
