I needed an all-in-one system that handled everything for me. I no longer wanted to be using Numbers spreadsheets for reports, Illustrator for custom PDF invoices and a slew of other apps to help me keep track of the time I was spending on multiple projects. I knew there was an easier solution out there that would allow me to spend less time doing "paper work" and more time doing what I love to do.

Previously I created all of my invoices by hand, I had an Illustrator template setup with the design I wanted but I had to manually insert every single piece of data from Invoice Number and Client Address to Dates and Amounts it was a long and arduous task that I struggled with for several years.

Being able to design my own custom estimate & invoice templates was a big one for me and thankfully Billings gives you many options to do just that. I am a little obsessive about my brand style and being able to keep that consistent all the way down to invoices was a real bonus for me.

As a freelancer I do everything myself and it is true what they say, you spend almost as much time doing admin and new business related activities as actual client work. Billings allowed me to wrap up the estimating, invoicing and time tracking side of things into such a neat and quick part of my workflow that not only is it second nature now I actually enjoy doing it.

I spend much less time drafting estimates and invoices leaving me more time to design pretty things for my clients, invoicing and getting paid no longer feels like a chore and has greatly increased my productivity and thus, my revenue.
